Walter Ronald Pickett

Walter Ronald Pickett was born September 1, 1923 in Haynesville, Louisiana and passed away on March 27, 2023 at the age of 99 at Village on the Park, Friendswood, Texas. He was a long-time resident of Texas City until January 2016 when he moved to the Village.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2023 with a visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park with honor guard for his service in WWII.

Walter is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 77 years, Elaine Pickett and a great  granddaughter, Jackie Hatfield.

He is survived by his three daughters and their spouses; Karen and Rush Warren, Bonnie and Jerry Hatfield, and Pennie and Paul Johnson. Also, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
