Stephen "Vic" Vickery, 48, was called to his eternal resting place on July 6, 2020. He entered this world on February 2, 1972, in San Antonio, TX, born to James and Wanda Vickery.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Vickery; sister, Beverly Hansen; brother-in-law, Steven Hansen; son, Lane Vickery; daughter, Laura Vickery; step-sons, Brandon Walsh, Chance Walsh and Drayson Cottone; niece, Dakota “Duck” Kellough; grandchildren, Kayden Vickery, Aloni Vickery, Avri Vickery, Ashton Vickery and Trinity Walsh and grandniece, Tyla “Duckling” Kellough.

Stephen served in the Army from 11/19/1993 – 11/30/2013. He was an infantryman his entire career, retiring with an honorable discharge. He was a Blue Spader; most of time serving with the 1-26 infantry regiment unit, his call name was Spader 6 Golf. He loved serving with his battle buddies. From a very young age he knew this was his calling. During his time in the Army he served in Kuwait 10/09/94 - 12/14/94, Bosnia 06/07/99 - 12/18/99, Iraq 02/12/04 - 01/30/05, Iraq 09/06/08 - 08/21/09. Stephen received a Purple Heart with his last tour in Iraq, after his injury was healed, he was sent to Drill Sargent school and was a Drill Sargent for 2 years. He also received a Soldiers Medal - Heroism for pulling a man out of a burning home, he has received numerous medals from his 20 years.

Stephen worked hard and played hard. He respected all those who shared the same respect, he protected those he loved. Everything he did was 100%. Love, Laughter, Comedian, & Protector. He loved fishing, hunting, guns, Xbox, the ocean, and his truck. He liked to be adventuress, Skydiving, driving Nascar, mud dogging in his truck, and going to the gun range. He enjoyed cooking for large groups, family, and friends. Stephen always wanted the best of the best to the point of having that $720.00 Kobe steak in Las Vegas. He was a provider for his family and worked his entire life. Stephen was the best storyteller. He always had a memory to share and often told it more than once. Stephen will be missed.

A memorial service with an Honors ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020, 2:00 pm. at, American Legion Post 1402 FM517, San Leon, Tx 77539.
