Biography

Charles Leon Hill, 70, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010, in Texas City.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 31, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 pm to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hill was born July 9, 1940 in Texas. He was a retired insurance salesman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Lucy Hill, and son, Joey Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Evelyn “Ms. Flo” Hill; sons Andrew Hill of Trinity, TX and Ken Austin of Naperville, IL; daughters Lori Hill of Trinity, Jan Hill of USCG in Louisiana, and Sherri Norris of Sparta, TN; sisters Janell McElwee of Pearland, Dorothy Wesley of Texas City and Colleen Gore of Azle, TX; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; special friends Connie Terry and Pearlie Rush; numerous other family members and friends.
