Biography
Angeline Varley, 86, formerly of Texas City, passed away Monday, January 25, 2010.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, January 28, at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. No visitation.
Angie spent her life in Texas City. She was a Texas City Explosion survivor, worked for the Texas City Terminal Company, TCISD, College of the Mainland, and retired from the GAF Corporation. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church and volunteered at Our Lady of Fatima.
Angie loved to read, keep up with politics, and was an avid sports fan, especially the Astros.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Solay; husband, James H. Varley; son, Michael S. Varley; brothers George and Mitch Solay; and sister Georgett Aarlie.
She is survived by sons, Mark and James Varley; daughter-in-law Deborah Varley, and grandchildren, Brett Varley and Malinda Lanford, along with many other family members and dear friends.
